Pet Club International is an on-line community of pet lovers and pet owners…and offers discounts, special programs, resources and information to its membership.

Q: How long has Pet Club International been in business?
A: The company was founded in 2005 and chose October of 2006 – National Pet Wellness Month – for its launch.
Q: What are your regular business hours?

Q: What does ‘Charter Member’ mean?
A: Charter Members of PCI are members who join in 2006… They enjoy a special price – an additional $10 savings off the annual membership rate of $49.95 – AND they are entitled to renew their annual membership at the ‘Charter’ rate, each year, as long as their membership does not lapse.
Q: How can I maximize the value of my PCI membership?
A: There are several ways to get maximum value from your PCI Membership!

Q: What if I already have Pet Insurance?
A: We created PCI membership to offer great value to pet owners – even if they already have pet insurance. We’re sure you’ll find other members benefits – like your monthly Pet World News, the Pet World Marketplace and your personal My Pet Space great reasons to join PCI. Our members enjoy contest, events, market research opportunities and hundreds of opportunities to save time and money on the pet supplies, products and services they use all year long.

We’ve learned that only a small percentage of pet owners in the U.S. have pet insurance – compared with well over 50% in other parts of the world – and our research told us that many pet owners find the insurance options confusing and costly. We’ve organized and simplified your pet insurance options – and offer discounts and bonuses, too!

And remember: Your pet insurance discounts and benefits from PCI are valid for the life of your membership… Is there a new pet in your future? Use your PCI insurance discounts at any time during your membership!

Q: How does PCI’s Tell-a-Friend Program work?
A: PCI’s Tell-a-Friend Program rewards you for sharing the good news about PCI with family and friends! When you join, you’ll receive a PCI ID number that will also be your Tell-a-Friend tracking number and the Tell-a-Friend Points – your PCI Points – will be tracked on you’re my Pet Space home page… We’ll supply you with a few options for messages that you can send to friends to tell them about PCI. When a new member joins PCI using your ID number you’ll receive 5 PCI Points. They add up quickly and you can redeem them for great gifts!!
Q: How do I redeem my PCI Points?
A: It's as simple as the click of the mouse. On your member page, you'll find your PCI Point Summary In the upper right hand corner. Then, click on "Redeem my points" and follow the Instructions provided there.
Q: What if my pet passes away?
A: We know that 90% of pet owners who lose a pet choose to bring a new four-legged friend into their lives… Your PCI membership includes all members of your family AND all current and future pets. PCI knows that pets are Friends for Life… and we’ll work to earn your trust and become a valued partner to you and all your pets.
Q: I have numerous pets. Are the savings on pet insurance available on more than one pet?

Q: Do other members of my household get their own user login?
A: We are working on this feature. But for now each household must use the login credentials of the account holder, so that we can award gifts, proses and other benefits appropriately. We will announce the Additional Logins per Household feature when it becomes available. Stay tuned!
Q: Can I pay by check?
A: Yes, but you will experience the mail delay in setting up your account and gaining immediate access to your benefits. Paying by credit card is your best bet, and affords you the benefit of automated renewal.

If you want to sign-up by mail, click on our Contact Us page, and mail your membership payment along with: your name, address, phone number, and VERY IMPORTANT - your email address! Please allow up to three weeks for us to receive your request, allow your check to clear, and manually process your membership. At that time, we will email you a temporary password (which you can and should change after you login in the first time.

Q: What if I already own one of the Chicken Soup books?
A: You can choose from four Chicken Soup books:
  • Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover’s Soul
  • Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover’s Soul
  • Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover’s Soul
  • Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover’s Soul II

If you already have them all… the copy you receive as a PCI Welcome Gift will make a great gift for a friend or family member.

Q: How soon after I join will I be eligible for the savings on pet insurance?
A: Immediately! Upon successful processing of your PCI membership You will receive your membership number by email. That ID number Is your access code for insurance discounts and automatically enrolls you in PCI’s Tell-a-Friend program!
Q: How soon after I join will I receive my Welcome Gifts?
A: Your Welcome Package and Gifts will be shipped within three weeks of enrollment
Q: If I have questions about my membership, is there a toll-free number I can call?
A: There is! That toll-free number is: 1-866-PCI-6010. The PCI membership services team is ‘on duty’ 24/7!
Q: Does PCI support any pet organizations?
A: We do! Our PCI Pet Pals Program will launch in December of 2006 and Pet Club International’s Friends for Life Foundation will begin accepting grant application in the summer of 2007. Watch for more details on both of these wonderful outreach programs!

Q: What if I am not successful in my attempt to sign up?
A:

In the event that you lose your internet connection or your session times out during sign up, you can start where you left off by simply by signing on using the User ID and Password you entered in the first screen.  If you did not submit the screen where you entered a User ID and Password, you will need to start the sign up process again by clicking on the link in your invitation e-mail or simply by clicking on the sign up button on petclubintl.com.

Q: How do I update my profile?
A: To access and update your Profile, just log in and look for the My Account tab on the toolbar at the upper right of your home page. That will take you to the section where you can update your contact information and preferences… as well as make other changes to your account information.
